Blog credits

April 5th, 2010

To give credit where credit is due ‘Fleeting chatter’ is running on WordPress with the following plugins.

It has the following minimalist themes installed but is using only BareCity.

Google Analytics and Mint are integrated as tracking tools of which Mint is by far the best and highly recommended despite the minimal cost. The feed is powered by the essential feed burning accessory – FeedBurner.

Welcome

April 3rd, 2010

Welcome to my second home: http://me.dhruba.name – the first being http://dhruba.name. Whereas the latter was originally intended to be a professional front for more formal, in-depth and considered technology articles this will be home to more informal and real-time chatter.

The content here will be posted more impulsively and is likely to be much more varied in terms of subject matter. In contrast to the primary site which is for the benefit of others this is intended to indulge and archive my thoughts whatever they might be and perhaps also allow me to experiment with various publishing styles whether that be prose factual or fiction, multimedia, technology mashes or anything else. Posts may also on the very rare occasion be of a more marginally personal nature although I’d like to limit this as much as possible.

This blog is also in fervent retaliation of Twitter’s 140 character limit which has, over time, not only constrained my creativity but also, in trying to crop messages to be under that limit, mutated them to something altogether different and unrecognisable in their form and expression. Having my own equivalent here also means that I host and control my own content rather than a third party doing so which is an added bonus.

If you have any feedback on topics you’d like to see on here or anything else please feel free to get in touch at dhruba#dhruba.name (replace # with @) and I’ll do my best to accommodate your request. I hope you enjoy your stay.
